Whilst I'm careful on my meets, I like to visit the GU clinic semi regularly just to be on the safe side - and it seems almost ironic that you rarely see so many good looking people in the same one place? |

My last couple have been done through my nurse at the same time as a smear. (only been doing this a few months) I remember catching something off an ex boyfriend and the place was full of skanks, due my next one next week so will report back then x |

I'm 53 and attend a GUM clinic with gender specific waiting rooms.
I'm the freaky looking old lady surrounded by children who have babies in pushchairs. When they drag their eyes from their phones they are visibly shocked when I walk in. An old woman, shagging?

The nurses are massively interested in my reasons for the tests. "Good for you!" and "There's still hope for me then" are the usual comments. |

...and to add. Not as a dig. But from my observations and what people have told me.
It's been the good looking ones who have the STI and seem to shrug their shoulders when told to get tested. Whilst they tell their meets that it's okay - that a one week course of medication will clear them of it. So, not to worry.

I wouldn't think so. I'm perfectly candid with the staff I meet there, I don't say 'I'm a swinger', I simply say 'I have sex with multiple partners', and hopefully they see those who get themselves checked regularly as being responsible rather than annoying. |

They do know I'm a swinger and they are always pleased that I am going for my regular check up. It's what they do for a job. If no one went they'd have nothing to do. Seems odd to think they would be annoyed you were going too often! |
