1980 opel kadett with a full length rag top sun roof and baked bean tin rear lights.
saved it from the scrap yard when i was young.
needed the valve seals replaced, but it was awe some! |

I made it a bit frilly Round the edges before I sold it and got my dad's old Renault 21. I thought I was so cool in that car!!!
Then I managed to pull the front bumper off and my dad made it look like Frankenstein by putting it back on with 2 bolts either side lol |

sreen washers was a bulb you sqeezed with your foot
ended up with a 1760 race engine in it and a full xpack body kit alloys cage the lot
then some cunt nicked it and smashed it in a wall  |

I had my driving lessons in a Renault 4. One of the most popular cars back home and still is. Its like mini in the UK. Very reliable and economic.

same as me mk1 fiesta had 3 stil got my 4 wich is my mk1 xr2, supersport, mk2 xr2 and mk3 fiesta rs turbo  I have the best wife ever lol letting me have my cars hehe |

When we 'old' buggers learned to drive, cars were shite. Just follow a 60s or 70s anglia/cortina/capri et al down the road now and breathe those unburnt carbon fumes. Brakes and tires were rubbish, suspension was just apalling etc etc. But at the time we thought they were cutting edge and 'customised' them with wide wheels and straight thru exhausts lol.
99% of cars now are easy to drive, don't rust, don't even need servicing
and they can all do over a ton and use no fuel and most are boring unless you pay a fortune.
Oh yes and in answer to the question
a mini I turned into a Cooper replica lol. |

Classic walking stick gear shift. Most taxis in Rhodesia were R4s. The first car, I had use of was a BMW 2000 and my first car was Citoen DS20. Loved it! |
