Bastard wanking cunting (I hate that word) fucking stuff I hate it. Just spent hours stripping a bedroom daughters new house of the stuff and to add insult to injury there was painted lining paper underneath.
Thats my forum insurance premiums gone up. |

No, there has been no violation of any of the terms and conditions of your FORUM INSURANCE in your rant. Today is Thursday (or to those from Brooklyn, Foisday) and so rants are permitted and encouraged and woodchip is a bastard. |

You can plaster over woodchip. As long as any loose stuff is off, any bits that are stuck to the wall will be an ideal key for plaster. Before the plastering massive jump on my case, this is not an ideal cure but I've never had any comeback after 20yrs in the industry |

"people that use woodchip should be anally fcuked using a tree stump!
Couldnt agree more. Some of the rooms had four layers of paper on the walls. "
before i moved into where i am now, my ex and i were offered a flat which had ALL the walls (including the bathrooom) woodchipped and painted dark purple!!!!
no chance of even easily painting over it |

Woodchip is childs play!
Real heartache is taking off a couple of layers of wallpaper to discover that back in the day, some previous owner decided that it would be a good idea to paper the walls then VARNISH them! Proper hard wood varnish!
When you've had to strip the walls centimetre at a time with a heat gun, then I'll listen to your moans about woodchip! |

You might want to be careful with artex as anything more than 20 years old will probably contain some level of asbestos. |

I wood chipped my cottage some 20 odd years ago , yes I know i was a twat and need a christmas tree shoving up my arse but at the time it covered a whole multitude of sins up and did a fair job of holding old plaster onto the walls , have just finished the last room of stripping of crap plaster and replastered every thing I am now a happy man |

Hate the stuff and have had Nightmares removing wood-chip wallpaper
But was even more shocked to see it on sale at a big wallpaper place at ONLY £6.99 a Roll.. wouldn't even want it if it was for free.. and They even had the cheek to put Retro on the label !!! |
