We dont have a twitter account. There is so much chat about having the police take action over people being upset by what is posted. As a non 'twitter' surely if you dont like the trolls, simply dont use it. Why should we all have to pay to get more dedicated police to investigate these problems when they are losing the battle against crime as it is. Surely twitter is not a necessity in life. |

Twitter may not be necessary but nor are many things.
If you were being stalked on fab or bullied in some way and put up a post about it would you be upset if the majority of the replies suggested you leave ?

Never understood the need for some people to tell everyone else what they're doing at any given moment. Also, can you not block people who make abusive or unwanted comments on your Twitter page? |

dont use it myself either, but i defend the right for others to be able to.
why should it be handed over to the scum to be free to utilise.
its a nice media for many people to enjoy what 'celebs' are doing, as well as their own lives. |

As with this site and facebook and twitter there is a block button for a reason. Although I don't condone it but people like Stan Collymore should expect this stuff after what hes done in the past. And the way he is with callers on his talksport show is always going to get him abuse on twitter |

Unfortunately some folk on the net are nutters apparently he slagged of suarez a footy player and got racial abuse and death threats.
Mentality of footy fans leaves a lot to be desired whilst accepting its small minority fact is it attracts more idiots than other sports in general. |

^^^ this. Why should people delete their account and let the bullies and trolls win? Teenagers have been known to commit suicide because of internet bullies. Bullies need to be stopped not ignored |

Titz Towers, North Notts |
Amongst others on a different thread, the general line of argument from some people is:
a, he's got a dodgy past so seems to deserve it in some way
b, because he is being threatened and libelled he should delete his account, as if he is in the wrong
Very odd. |

why should he expect it?
to be called an idiot and wrong for his views is one thing, but racially abused and threatened are a completely different thing.
i have heard his show on talksport, and along with 606 a lot of people that call in are idiots with an axe to grind, are overcome with emotion at their team losing, or just plain wrong.
should they (he =, Robbie Savage and Ian Wright in the main) just pander to these people to keep the status quo?
of course not.
i tell you this without a hint of irony or sarcasm.
collymore and savage are 2 of the least biased co commentators i have ever heard on radio commentary.
he is as critical of villa as savage can be of united/leicester/derby/brum, whereas a lot of ex pros, that have been at a club, or support them, for a long period (mostly ex united/arsenal or liverpool players) are so heavily biased when telling me whats going on, its like watching a completely different game when i see the highlights later on MoTD |
