Righty ho, I started a thread (I don't do this very often) a few days ago and a nameless forumite mismatched quotes which locked the thread, so Ruggers tells me.
Being as nobody, including myself can read any of the posts on part 1, I am going to try again

I don't exactly live on my own but enjoy all the aspects of single life that granny mentioned!
Only thing I miss about having an OH is I never get a cuppa in bed. Unless I get up and make it myself... Which isn't quite the same! lol x |

"Regarding ?
I think the title gives it away really"
I dont get this thread either! May be answer to the thread will give a better indication coz the title sounds like a half statement in which the other missing part I cant find in the original post either |

I don't think it's a question ..... it's just general comments about living on your own ..

I don't 100% live on my own but I might as well when my daughter is at school or off with her boyfriend.
Good = not having to fight for the covers.
Bad = not having to fight for the covers and then snuggling closer to share them on her side... and having to warm up the bed on your own |

"Okay. I'll start.
I get first dibs on the t.v. , shower, meals and best side of the bed."
Sounds like a pwan gwanny, although you'll have to keep putting the bog seat down when I come to visit |

Love it on the whole though there always times when you want some company. Can please myself on everything i do and when i do it...My neice has asked countless times if she can move it and ive said no. She still lives with my bro and sis in law and is well taken care of. Besides..........i love her to bits but she would drive me barmy over time. And i dont want us to fall out because of it. |

I live with my brother so not alone but alone at the same time
Good thing is I get to choose what I watch and do what I want as he is normally out with gf or locked away in his bedroom
Downside is not having someone to cuddle, confined in, or look after me when I'm blue
Oh and it don't help that they all lovey dovey after five years x |

Love that as well Steel, pure bliss, although I don't do the ranting thing "

Over the rainbow, under the bridge |
Love every part of being single. If I do need company at any time I have good friends and close family.
Wouldn't want to live with any of them though - like my space too much. |

Loving some of the posts on this one, to be honest there are many advantages to both sides of the coin.
I have tried both and still can't decide, but then I'm only young and still have time on my side |

I love living on my own as I value my independence and space.
It was harder to adjust to living and sharing time and space with another person going into a relationship than to come out of one.

I agree there Pearl, it's much more about compromise when you are living with someone. Although separation from a loved one can be, and often is painful, at least ya can leave the bog seat up without being moaned at |

I just realized that I have NEVER lived on my own.
Lived with parents first, then halls of residence at Uni, followed by several flat mates, then with hubby and finally with hubby and kids.
Shocking! |

I like coming in from a day's work and telling the other half what sort of a day you have had and listening to their problems as well.
If you can help each other out, then surely that is a bonus |
