unintentional sarcastic response

"Have you ever replied politely then afterward's thought that was abit sarcastic but completely unintentional??"
I once sent Gentleman Ben a message. It was completely and intentionally sarcastic but he spoilt it by replying politely. It made me question my motives...could I have been a better person? I decided no and sent another.  |

Example on a different site!
Girl winks at me! (She is pretty) obviously knows she is good looking. See she is wearing a big hat so send her a message.
"Ha hey thanks for the wink is that a large hat or is your head exceptionally small?"
Sends one back "Lol my head is small"
I send "That's okay little miss I can save you from the undateables"
Blocked!!!!

I think that so much gets lost in translation..... typed words are so easily misinterpreted, and thats before we talk about spelling, grammar and punctuation x |

Even the most innocuous banter can translate badly in writing. I try to take care with what I write, add the odd smiley, but still manage to get embroiled in misunderstandings. It's the missing out on voice, inflection, body language etc.

The first time I went for a lap dance the girl said take a deep breath, I replied it's ok I have me inhaler. Needless to say anychance of atmosphere swiftly left |

Anything in text form can be interpreted in a lot of ways, or misinterpreted.

Sarcasm mode is always on with me. I struggle with posting on the forums sometimes because I have to re-read what I've written to make sure it's not going to offend (I may not always be successful). A lot of the time I just walk away from the thread instead of risking saying anything. |

I for one think that, of all people, the media should show more respect to the grieving family and refrain from rating fatal accidents.  |
