Nope because I don't need them and therefore don't look at the price.
I use an epilator. It doesn't need blades, so works out waaaay cheaper than shaving.
I know it's not really a solution for men though! |

Jesus! I shave carefully with mine and wouldn't ever contemplate doing anything anal with one! |

I'm thinking if buying an epilator.
Does it hurt?
Can you get all the tricky bits?
I'm a wimp with waxing so wet shave all the time...

Its a disgrace. I buy Wilkinson sword disposables. On offer in Asda at £2 for four at the moment. Usually £4. They're the only ones I will have. Really good but they don't slice the intimates up.

Yes, I agree they are expensive..... BUT
I buy a pack of 4 for about £12, Fusion Power Supersonic Smoothglide whatevers..... each blade head will last me a month. So at £3 per month, it isnt too bad.
I have tried disposable, and cheaper alternatives but my neck gets shredded. So when I consider the benefits of the expensive blade, it is worth it to me. |

Whats wrong with proper old fashioned blades? £1.50 for 10 at asda. Just invest in a decent adjustable like an original gillette 'fatboy' and you will get a better shave for a fraction of the price. A barber does'nt use a vibrating 5 blade lubristripped at £3 a pop does he? |

I have a Merkur 34C and an Edwin Jagger DE89 double edged razor which gives a fantastic shave using Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow blades.
Traditional and old school. |

I do. It really annoys me how something like razors can be so expensive. I cant use the cheap ones cause they cut my face to shreds. It probably costs them 50p to make and they knock them out at £12 or whatever for 4 |

The gillettes apparently cost them about 10p to make, but they are marked up to help pay for the sports stars they use in adverts and to rake in high profits.
I hear alot of men not using electric razors, which would work out cheaper fairly quickly, compared to cartridge blades.
Also, after shaving, clean with hot water, use alcohol to take more gunk off, and then use oil to help preserve the blades. Even wd40 could probably be used. This should extend the life by a long mile, and you can use your jeans etc to run the blade backwards over, to remove gunk too. |
