My dog has recently developed an allergic reaction the vets seem to think its a food allergy I have changed his food and it is still happening. I've heard of hypoallergenic dog food has anyone got a pet with the same problem and can you reccomend any good hypoallergenic dog food that aren't going to break the bank? |

All of the above are slightly more expensive to buy, but you feed a lot less so work out cheaper in the long run.
My staff had food allergies and Wainwrights worked wonders for her. |

James Wellbeloved salmon and potato. Burns do a hypo one, Royal Canin hypoallergenic- take your pick. They are all quite expensive. Nothing else to eat, no treats, water only. Have be on it for 6 weeks before you know if works. Or get the blood test. |

Vitalin has lamb in it- DON'T use this for a diet trial in allergy- presumably skin allergy? All petfoods are NOT the same. Needs to be based on usually fish and novel carbohydrate eg potato or sweet potato or possibly rice. |

two thoughts.
you can use a BARF diet, google, it eliminates anything that could cause a reaction, my dogs all thrive on it.
it can be to do with cleaning products, especially shake and vac type products, itchy paws, itchy skin and ears.
it is easy enough to cook rice and pasta and add fish or meat, without additives, usually its a process of elimination. |

No meat- has to be a novel protein initially ie, fish. Or get the bloods tests/patch tests done |

Or you can use the dry food at £35.99 for a bag that lasts 4 weeks. Less waste, both from the food, and the dog. |

But the dry has much more 'padding'in it- barley too, which is fine if the allergy is not cereal based. If it IS, then you risk the dog becoming allergic to the salmon too then you are stuffed tbh |
