I have looked at the article and while on the one hand the image in my head is hilarious,I have a morbid sense of humour.........its also really sad,what else could they do if they did'nt have the money to get him home? they must have been scared witless too in a foreign country |

I haven't read the article. I will later. This sounds like one of those fascinating human stories that make me laugh and cry.
They probably didn't realise all the implications of transporting a dead body. Either on health grounds or legal grounds.
The way we react to demands for money does depend on how wealthy we are. It's so easy to be gracious about sudden expenses when you're loaded. |

Now they're saying that they thought the old boy was just asleep, and they swear that he was alive and ate breakfast prior to leaving the house for the airport that morning, but the police sugeon believe that he'd been dead for up to 20hrs |

Hang on a moment these 2 woman are not tourists they live in the uk.
I can understand them wanting to return him back to his native country but they did not refuse the free NHS services he was getting just prior to his death either so maybe they aint as daft as they may at first seem.
