Used to do it. Nice feeling finding a cache with my kids and them swapping trinkets from it. Put me off though getting into fields of nettles to find (or not) a nano cache! Amazed how many caches there are. Even one on the International Space Station! I will put that down as a DNF.

Anyone found my cash of used condoms on Snowdon...

Some perfect for the new sexual sport of extreme dredging!

Second cash will be deposited on a classic Idwal route (not sure which of the graces I will pick, but the hidden Jug on charity seems a good choice for so many reasons!)LoL

It's great as an excuse to get the kids out and about

They love to use the compass or gps to search for hidden treasures.

"Thicko here, what is it?"

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location

Is this the thing where when you find the cache you are supposed to swap an item with something you've brought?

You dont have to swap or do anything . You can just locate it and sign your ID in it on whatever paper is left in it and then confirm u found it on geocaching website.
