"Did you read the article on mc Donalds today?
There burgers contain bits of animals that are not for human consumption!
I'll stick to gourmet burger lol"
what bit of an animal is not fit for consumption?
And why is human consumptio different to any other kind of consumption? |

I don't like McDonald's much, or BK or KFC for that matter.
I just wish someone would tell that bit of my brain that keeps trying to convince me they're wonderful and I really want one.
Seriously, I buy one and am underwhelmed and yet I still think I want them. |

What burger experiment? "
Buy a plain burger from there and also cook one yourself bought fresh...
Leave them up on a side at home somewhere for a week and you tell me the results....
Leave them up on the side for a month and the update the results... Then 3 months...
I bet you the McDonalds burger will not change in any form other than harden and shrivel a little.... EAT AWAY!!!! |

"Do you know how much sugar is in a BurgerKing? I thought it was meat. Why on earth do they put a cup of sugar in meat? Shocking."
Really??? Where did you get that one from! Burgers that are 100% beef should only have a binding agent mixed in. Looks like Burger King is breaking the law!

Can't happen!! Just can't happen!Years ago they used to put all the nasty bits in sausages and burgers. After the "Mad Cow" scare, all meat has to have a field to plate history. They can no longer use those parts that are dangerous to humans, such as the brain or spinal cord!
If what you say is true, those companies would be committing financial suicide. They would be closed down inside a week! It has got much tighter since the horse meat scandal. That was not dangerous, it was purely a labelling issue! |

McDonalds used to used as an example for people studying BS 5750. Not because the quality was high but because it was consistent.
The chain of proceedures that puts burgers on the tray or in the bag is so tightly documented and monitored that its virtually impossible, other than by malicious intent, for anything to go wrong. |

The sugar content of a BK was referred to in an article in the Sunday Times a few weeks ago. Now I know that we should be critical of all media sources, bit it did seem well researched and informed. |

Sceptical maybe, but critical only if warranted, surely? |

Their own website suggests that a single Whopper has 11g of sugar in it. That is really quite a lot. Double it for a double whopper and it is excessive. I too was surprised that one would ever consider adding sugar to a burger. |

It's be difficult for McDs to give you food poisoning because of the strict storage and cooking rules they impose on each branch.
Of course, if someone breaks the rules or sticks infected meat into the system at the start, you may get ill but it won't be McDs fault. |

Ditch the hash brown? are you mad, they're amazing. Burgers are the tastiest but not very filling. I ate 6 cheese burgers once, was still hungry! |

For me the thing that sets McDonald's apart from their competitors is the speed of service and they employ people who's sole purpose is to keep the tables clean and clear up after the lazy bastards who are too idle to chuck their rubbish away. KFC can learn a thing or two. |

If you take a look at Morgan Spurlock in 'Supersize Me' you see him get to about halfway through a month of eating Macs, then throw up, but then be craving it by the next meal.
Sugar, in the form of high fructose corn syrup(HFCS), is the cause I believe. Corn to fry the chips, to feed the cattle, to sweeten the drinks in place of sugar. All because of the change in agriculture policy in the US that saw huge subsidies for hedgerow to hedgerow farming. And one of the cheapest crop to grow? Corn. Corn that's converted into HFCS. Strange how since this policy we've seen a massive increase in obesity, first stateside and more recently here.
It's a theory. |
