When you friend someone do you message them first or just send a friend request? What is your reaction when someone sends you a friend request without messaging first? Just wondering how others deal with it. Usually I delete the request. Does that make me a bitch? |

Nope we ignore them, our friends list contains people we have met and people we are planning to meet, we send a message with a pic of us to make first contact and would only send a friend request when it looks like it may go somewhere

We do exactly the same. We consider friends to be exactly that, and we reserve it for high potential meets or someone we have at least established compatibility with. We erase any that are sent otherwise, usually just to see more pics. |

My profile says my friends list is for friends. That's people I have met, or chat to a lot, or want to meet. It says if I don't know you, I probably won't add you.
So, surprisingly, my stance tends to be, if I don't know them, I probably won't add them. |

I sometimes accept random friend invites if the person has had the manners to ask me first. I don't care if they want to perve my pics, have no intention of meeting and not talk to me again - however, they get deleted after a while.
If I get a friend request with no prior message, I ignore it and don't accept or decline it so they can't ask me again. |

I find it rude that they don't message me first then I get abuse saying I have a bad attitude and I'm the last person they want to meet. So why send one in the first place? no wonder I have a bad attitude |

"I always send them a message first asking if I can send a friends add. it is only good manners to after all. "
People would want a conversational first rather than I message asking if you can send a friend request, well in my opinion anyway |

I find random friends invites very rude. It says not to send them on my profile. Depending on my mood I have been known to message asking if it was a mistake!
You don't call strangers friends do you so a conversation first is only polite! |

yes I know that.
and yes I did not say I talk to them first, so I can see the misunderstanding.
