Depends what you're looking for mate. If you want somewhere to eat head off down Linthorpe Road, there's loads of places along there, you're only 5 minutes walk from the travelodge in the town centre. If you want entertainment, like a band or someat head down Albert Road, there's loads of bars, though it might be a bit quiet through the week. There's a cinema about 5-10 mins walk, or you can head out to Teesside Park where there's a multiplex and loads of places to eat. Newcastle is hardly an option, it's an hour away, never mind having to deal with the geordies hehe! If you've got transport head out of town, you're pretty close to the north york moors and there's plenty of good local pubs in the surrounding villages and towns like Guisborough, Yarm, Stokesley and Great Ayton. Good luck!
