This is the male half your talking to, I don't even know what a mandolin is? I thought it was a bun lol
Can you make different flavoured ones like chilli or anything? |

A mandolin is a lethal contraption that you use to slice potatoes and your fingers very thinly....you could probably use those season all things you get in the jar to make chilli ones or you can just go to the shop and buy some lol |

Serves: 4
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 washed potato, sliced paper thin (peeling is optional)
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
CREATE SHOPPING LIST with
Method
Prep:10min › Cook:10min › Ready in:20min
Pour the vegetable oil into a plastic sandwich or freezer bag. Add the potato slices, and toss to coat.
Coat a large dinner plate lightly with oil. Arrange potato slices in a single layer on the dish.
Cook in the microwave for 3 to 5 minutes, or until lightly browned (if not browned, they will not become crisp). Times will vary depending on the power of your microwave. Remove chips from plate, and toss with salt (or other seasonings). Let cool. Repeat process with the remaining potato slices. You will not need to keep oiling the plate. |

A potato peeler get rids of the skin it does not actually slice things...have you a food processor "
But surely I can use the peeler to slice the potato thinly aswell?
I don't know what we have her indoors is the chef in our house |

A mandolin on its thinnest setting is ideal,you could use a potato peeler but they wouldn't look very crisp shaped. Mix whatever seasoning with the salt to flavour |

Yes you can use a potato peeler I have it works very well. You can also use parsnip, carrot, beetroot as well as potato. Medium heat in the oven on a baking tray check after about 10 minutes if still not crispy leave a little longer but keep checking. Homemade delicious. |

Use whatever you have....the microwave crisps looks easy and no hot oil "
Yeah I'm going to give them a bash and some done in the oven see which are the nicer tasting ones |
