"I have just watched this too. Very strange maybe he got up and went out alone? Or has his father git something to do with it?
Very sad "
Or maybe even his mother?
I've spoke to someone who has been in the block of flats and they said there is no way a 3 yr old can open the fire doors alone due to the sheer weight of them. Hope he's found soon. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I heard the news yesterday afternoon and by midnight the police were adding more details.
I don't understand why he is in his coat and gloves when he had been put to bed.
The police are saying it could be possible for him to open the doors.
The picture of his lovely little face kept coming to me in the night. I hope he is found safe and well. |

His coat and shoes missing. So somebody had to know where to find that stuff. I think it may be somebody he knows. If it was a random stranger they wouldn't care if he was cold or barefoot or where to find his things or be comfortable enough to hang around longer than necessary. That's if they are not mistaken about the coat and shoes. I hope this turns out ok.

Everywhere and nowhere baby |
I hope this little mite is found safe and well. They haven't said much about the parents and no mention of the father. There have been cases of fathers snatching their children, if so at least he should be safe. |

Please let this end with joy and not sorrow, my heart and prayers go out to those in close connection with the little lad. I too thought about this through the night and how scared he must be...please let him be found sooner than later.... |

Very very sad. There are unconfirmed reports that the mother has been detained; but quite honestly I think now is the time to think about the little boy who died and wait until the police investigate. Sadly I doubt the tabloids will do that.
RIP little one |

I've just seen this news flash up on my phone, it is really sad. It didnt surprise me though, the reporting of the details was very sketchy so its obvious there was much more that wasnt being said.
Just the detail of putting the child to bed at 9pm on his own because he was unwell, when he usually shared with his sister, and then not realising he was missing til 7am, who doesn't check on their poorly child at intervals, and not attending nursery since Christmas. Just made me think really. |

Christ, everyone struggles with their children at times but there is an option to have the stae look after them. Give them up don't kill them. These people are pure filth and you just know the authorities will have failed in some way again.
Pray for his little soul, but at least he is safe now. |

I must admit I haven't really followed this story on the news so I can't really runaround throwing accusations of guilt etc the news will report what sells a story and they can't know everything right now when even the police don't know everything yet.
For now all we can really say with any sincerity is rest in peace little man x |

Oh no
I went to bed last night after reading how he hadn't been seen at nursery since before Christmas.
As I said in my OP, awful how these stories unfold.
How can people be so cruel. |

So sad.
Its a bad world when even my 14 year old when she first heard it said "its usually the parents isnt it"
Did nursery not raise concerns?
Sickens me to think if any child being scared of their own parents, and being harmed by them.

He'd had a chest infection apparently. For a child to be absent from nursery / school for two weeks this new year, they would have to be very poorly... Kids usually bounce back fairly quickly from colds / bugs.
So yes I think it does raise a question of when other people should intervene / ask questions / report.
Hindsight of course being a wonderful thing and too late for this poor baby boy |

RIP little man. There's another star in the Sky tonight.
I feel so much for his twin too , poor little mite. I hope that the investigation uncovers the truth & someone is brought to account. |

Quite right, when mine were poorly I barely slept as constantly listening out for them |

This wasn't the news I wanted to waken up to
Sickens me it really does. Especially having seen edinburgh come together over this last couple of days to 'help' this mother find her child. |

The local response was fantastic and if he had been missing and found alive the community could rejoice. The community response was the right one.
Mikaeel's sweet little smiling face fills my heart with such sadness.

The immense love I have for my two boys who are now 24 and 28 is beyond words...I really cannot understand how anybody let alone a parent hurt such innocent children...would rather they abandon them than hurt them in such a bad and evil way..esp to murder them!!! |

He may not have been murdered. We don't know anything yet other than Mikaeel is dead.

"Hurt by a person he should be able to trust utterly and completely
Poor little thing
Now where's the noose for who over did it, sounds like it's his own mum BIT**"
There has been no trial yet and no one found guilty. Who would you hang and would you suggest an extra judicial execution (lynching)? |
