good friend that he or she has BO or bad breath?
I (Female) feel if it is a friend they deserve my honesty and in doing so I would want to be true and yet not cause hurt at the same time.
Any suggestions? |

I would maybe make subtle hints to start by saying something like oh have you seen they have such and such deodrant on offer in somewhere. If they dont get the message after a few hints guess you have to come straight out with it |

oddly this is something that we have to deal with at work a bit (i say od cos i work in a call centre, not somewhere you would epect to have to talk about BO issues)
Its usaly the team managers responsibility to take the person to one side and tacktfully discuss the issue with them - luckily i have never ad to do it lol |

When I was in the Navy we used to grab them, haul them into the shower block and scrub them down with yard brooms. Funny they never let their personal hygiene slip again.
The smell in an enclosed mess deck was bad enough never mind people adding to it with poor hygine. |

We (RM's) used to use scrubbing brushes and vim on gungy manky gits!
Worked every time! LoL
But in answer to the OP's question, tell them, there may be a medical reason, but one way or another they will thank you if they have any sense

"tell them the truth, as they may not realise that they have a problem.
I agree actually having thought about it... but how would you do it? "
just tell them, dont try to "do it nice" that wont work. |
