It's never too early in the year to start planning.
So, where are you going this year or where was your favourite festival experience to date.
We're talking music festival here. |

Not for me either, but to each their own, I suppose |

I just hate the way they are commercialised now, a big money making venture whereas the true spirit of a festival should mean free music for the people! |

There are some great grassroots fests out there doing it for the right reasons, but you're right about the big festivals |

Green man was ace, nice mix of people. Always the best times for us when we go is when you get a mix of ages and walks of life. Reflection of our social circle I guess.
WOMAD was amazing though. Can't wait for next time x |

Alt-fest is already booked. May get a day ticket for the night Prodigy do at Sonisphere as it is local.
Given the finances crystal would do Download and I'd do Bearded Theory but realistically 2 festivals a year is just too much money |

Reading Festival has always been my favourite, particularly 1992, 1993 & 1999.
The Charlatans, The Wonderstuff, Nirvana, Ride and the Manics were all amazing @ Reading 92, it was probably the best festival I've ever done. |

The godiva festival in Coventry is free. And it's really good for a free one. Well known bands on and lots for children. |

Glastonbury is by far the best festival, I've been going since I was a little kid with my parents who still go with the rest of the family.
The Big Chill and the Green Man are also good. I used to love the Reading Festival but I'm a little too old for it now as I no longer know most of the bands on the bill |

Definitely got tickets for Glastonbury now and also press passes (and plus ones) for Camp Bestival, Bestival and Benicassim, so that's us sorted for the Summer! Though the only hint of Summer will probably be Benicassim! |

I would absolutely agree with you there!! But they have some blinding acts, and if you meet the right people in the campsite it makes for an awesome 3 days, plus it's the usually the very last one of the season, gotta go out with a bang!!! |

Sounds like you're describing the blue campsite! It ain't all like that but I'd never camp in that site.
But Leeds ain't much better, I could not relax at that festival, always felt a fight was around the corner. |

Camp Bestical is the most relaxed festivl I've ever covered; it's for parents to take kids mainly, so you have to suffer Mr fucking Tumble but they have some great bands on too (Richard Hawley and The Levellers headlined last year) |

It's a lovely festival, to be fair!
We'd pay to go if we didn't get passes, the grandkids wouldn't forgive us otherwise!
