Am I allowed a Thursday rant?

My lodger's pissed up, angry boyfriend made an appearance at 11.30 last night hammering on the door and generally being a twat after they had had an argument. Cue me being awake the majority of the night waiting to see if he came back.

So I'm really bloody tired (currently being fuelled by a huge coffee!) and its supposed to be Prosecco Thursday at my house but I'm going to have to have a rather awkward conversation with my lodger about said pissed up, angry boyfriend over Prosecco. (grrrrrr

Look up pics of Medieval sieges - you may find the bits involving boiling oil being poured over unwelcome people at the door rather inspiring

Yep you're absolutely right. I hate confrontation and I know it wasn't her fault but she is responsible for her guests. Very very stressed.

If its not her fault what's the point having a conversation about it. Most people experience a wanker of a partner at some point in their lives, be understanding and let it go for both your sakes. That is unless it happens repeatedly in which case you might need a new lodger.

She's probably embarrassed and not looking forward to the conversation either. But you have to tell her it can't happen again.

I hope by this time tomorrow R you have calmed down and the stomach has relaxed. The problem is I find they will be all lovey-dovey again and you are left with upset and no sleep.Lovers who'd have them.

I used to work with a pain in the neck like that. On some days she'd spend half her time on the phone hissing bloodcurdling threats down the line, then next day would appear with a shed load of love bites

I have lovely neighbours, I really don't want to cause problems with them because of him. Its not going to be a pleasant evening.

If it carries on you must tell the police or get a restraining order put on him.But there again its up to her to do that.

That's for her to do. I will be really really hacked off if she stays with him. But I won't be saying anything in terms of that, its not my place to.

thats the thing, especially with younger ladies.

its the whole 'i can fix him' mentality

or

'he is lovely when not drinking'

well ok, thats fine, so stop him drinking

and seeings as that probably aint gonna happen, then she needs to sort her shit out and not bring it to your doorstep.

I still think crenulations and murder holes are a lot less trouble

Sadly things have got worse throughout the day. More threats have been made, so we have had the police round and a report has been made.

The police are good. They'll sort it.

Hugs to you both. x

Then maybe this isn't the place to discuss it now.
