Ever just been sat there enjoying the silence and you can hear a strange noise..... You lookaround listen around can't quite pinpoint it..... I got one now..... But examples the lid not tight on a bottle and it's hissing, a toy buried in the toy box that ain't switched off....... I will update as soon as I find this one

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Low battery on a smoke alarm. My ex had to empty his cupboard to find it (not even commenting on why he had his smoke alarm in a cupboard! )

Titz Towers, North Notts

If this were a horror film, the next move would be to see a severed head roll across the floor.

Masked and Distant

Sat there one night while still living at home, darent go to bed as every so often I could hear a knocking, just 3 or 4 knocks then silence for 30 minutes or so, it wad coming from somewhere in the room.

Tried for ages to find it.

It went on all night.

Parents came home and it scared the crap out of them too. Take note our house was built on site of an old victorian childrens hospital.

Spent another couple of hours and eventually traced the source.

The bottles of scrumpy they had brought back from cornwall werent quite finished fermenting, the pressure was forcing the corks to pop up and hit the underneath of shelf above, releasing a bit of pressure drops back, pops back up and so on.

Had to drink some just to calm nerves before bed.

Made a note to stop buying scrumpy from dodgy fsrmers from then on
