Newcastle and Gateshead |
he is only offside if he is interferring with play.....
if gouffran had gone the other way and into the keepers line of sight then i would have agreed with the ref......
but he ducked/swearved out of the way the other side.....
that ref wont be getting a game next week...... |

Won't help Newcastle much though! Terrible decision and one which shows the ref to clearly not understand the game or the laws which he is supposed to be applying. |

Absolute correct decision referee!!!!!!!!
What would have bee interesting is if they had scored from the free kick where santon took a blatant dive after there was zero contact.
Is wrong to be cheated out of a goal or is it right to cheat and gain a goal.
I'm sure the jawdeees would still argue it's right for both |

I'm no Newcastle fan, but ref got both decisions wrong and has subsequently bottled sending of Cabaye! Hopeless. |

No it isn't. The offside rule was changed before the start of the season. The player is now only interfering with play if he is challenging an opposition player for the ball. The referee doesn't know the rules. |

I'm no jawdee fan either and that cabaye is one dirty little mother hubbard. He dishes it out all the time but as soon as someone goes near him to goes down like he's been hit by a sniper |

"end of the day the decision has been given rightly or wrongly all you can do is get on with the game .. some games you get lucky some games you dont "
still think the ref should be dropped from the panel, if you don't understand the laws you shouldn't be officiating important games that could decide titles etc. Speaking of luck though, Liverpool have just had their fair share after a couple of close games went against them. |
