Being single, I seldom have roast dinners except on Christmas Day, and it is usually a duck (would love a goose, however, it is too big for just me and the pets, and it is probably too rich for them).
Got a nice piece of rib eye steak to share with the pets for dinner later instead.

Beef today.
My daughter has just turned vegetarian but beef was her least favourite meat so we rarely had it.
Really looking forward to it. A couple of pints of Guinness first though. |

I also live on my own and other have a roast, normally a small joint sourced from my butcher last me a day or so after so 3 meals for the price of one 
Today however having Beef and ale hotpot, have made enough to pop into the freezer for another day... |

Thanks to a derailed train between Carlisle and Oxenholme we had to settle for a baggett. But my poor son is in for a dreadful journey back to Glasgow. |
