"Wondering if you hqve some adware infecting your PC?"

The only ad on here is for love honey so if the ads a're for other people then you've got a bug.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

You've got malware. Start up your antivirus and delete any weird stuff you might have downloaded lately, ie in tools - manage add-ons.

Not necessarily! Agree and appreciate it's a really nasty one and not the easiest to get rid of either but doesn't necessarily require a full system format.

Depends if it's identified as as Rootkit or not and even if it was AVG (used to) not sure if they still have now got Rootkit scanners and removers on their site.

Its to do with your internet not the site. Go onto internet options and click the block 3rd party pop ups or something like that.

this one stops you running any anti virus soft ware , prevents you running your computer in safe mode and stops you installing new anti virus software . its a media player virus, had it and the only way to scrub it was a wipe out .

I've previously had add for other adult sites pop up every time I went to a new page on the inytermnet and it was the 3rd party issue I described above. Media player and anti virus all a-ok

Even with a bad one, the Malwarebytes website tends to have fixes for them so go there then download their free antivirus as its good.

Understand what your saying and agree that it might be the best option to wipe completely unless your prepared for a challenge. Encountered it in the past (on a friends PC) and beat it through a variety/combination of methods, a right pain though admittedly!

Deleting all auto runs, AV rescue disk, system restore and repair.

It worked! Took a bit of doing though, depends on how much time the OP is willing to invest or how prepared the system was in terms of restore points on the original OP's machine.

Either way it's a royal pain in the ass
