It does seem a bit hypocritical - especially when we are always being told to switch lights off and not leave the telly on standby.

You wd have seen millions in Hitler's funerals if that was allowed. Many dictators and mrderers have some crowd behind them. Doesn't make them any good people |

That's not what's happening here. We're talking about people NOT attending the lying in state.
If he'd died 8 years ago, I think the turnout would have been much higher. |
