...think it's time to get rid of my current car and get a new one. Have my eyes on the new Ford Galaxy. Currently own a Mercedes V class - bloody expensive running that

Anyone own one a Ford? What's the running costs like? And is it okay?

I know nothing about cars by the way.

Reasonable running costs, not bad to drive....it is a people carrier after all and no real technical problems. Plenty of space which leads onto do you really need it ? There's always the smax

Why'd you want a van/people carrier?? Personally i dont like them cause they are too tall and boxy and id be scared of tipping it over

The zafira is meant to be a nice drive and reasonable running costs and vauxhall aint too bad on reliability

...don't feel too comfy driving smaller cars nowadays. Thinking of a 4x4 too.

I have a 55 plate Punto 1.2 so not a clue what's good or not.

Good luck Pops but I know why you want a big car, it's to get all the girlies in for a shag fest, innit!

Thought about Hyundai, they make great cars and at good price, they cant be bad they give a full 5 year warranty. Look up Allen Briggs best price in town when you compare

Not going for the brand new, showroom ones. But, i mean the new shape ones i.e. the Addison Lee cars.

They look rather good and have heard they are comfy. VW's are looking good too. But a tad bit expensive for me i think.

We had a ford galaxy, now we have a Mercedes B class. The merc is cheaper to run , cheaper to insure and cheaper to tax. In comparison it was as if every time we drove the galaxy we were throwing ten pound notes out the window.

Maybe as other people point out there is an abundance of parts is because a lot of people are scrapping them.
