Youtube Horror Express - it is total rubbish as an horror film, but it has a cracking cast and no end of charm and 'one honest Cossack'

I prefer the true to life horrors. I find them more scary if I think they can actually happen or are a true story. The ghost ones don't really scare me.

I adore horror, but again, haven't seen one that scared me since I first watched Childs Play when I was 6.

I have Switchblade Romance, but haven't got around to watching it yet, also Mum & Dad isn't a bad film.

I still love watching the Childs Play series, basically watching them back to back, gradually getting worse and worse! Same with the Nightmare on Elm Street series.

I love the horror genre and ghost stories where you don't always see the "thing" but it`s just left to your imagination.

I have a clown phobia so Steven Kings "It" was scary enough to read let alone watch the film when they made it

We both love horror in both books and on screen; one of our faves from last year was 'Cottage in the Woods'; a real twist on the classic Evil Dead.

For reading go for the trilogy by Mira Grant; FEED, DEADLINE and BLACKOUT and the five books by Richard Kadrey Sandman Slim, Kill the Dead, Aloha from Hell, Devil said Bang and Kill City Blues; start one of either author and you will not put it down, you'll also be heading back to the bookshop to buy the others in the series.

Recent horrors have mainly been shit. The Evil Dead remake, The Conjuring, American Mary-were all good.

Too many "jump scares". And it's obvious when they're coming when the music ramps up.

Ones I do like:

Trick R Treat

La Horde

28 days later

Switchblade romance

Frontiers

Candyman

Alien

Leslie hates horror but I love them. Have to watch on my own because the kids won't watch either which adds to the suspense and tension.

Drag me back to hell was enjoyably by Sam raimi(evil dead) and what I though was a remake that turned out to be a prequel The Thing. Holy shit. I watched alone in my bedroom lights off surround sound on and I was pinned to the bed in fright at some if that pmsl. Love a good horror
