I have the January blues and with an abundance of ads on the t.v., I have been thinking of holiday destinations for summer 2014 (July/August time),I want to really treat myself (I intend on going alone), and want somewhere really exotic (possiblythe Indian Ocean), but I can't decide between Mauritius, the Seychelles or Sri Lanka (I fully appreciate there are far worse dilemas to need advice on), but has anyone been to any/all of them? If so, which do you recommend and why? Thanks in advance . |

Cozumel off the coast of Mexico. One of my favourite places on earth. It's laid back, friendly and drink flows freely. Also if you like stuff like diving and messing about in/on the water its fantastic. |

Some of the cleanest water I've ever dived in.
Also worth a look is Grand Cayman and Honduras. |

"I haven't been to Mauritius or the Seychelles but can tell you that Sri Lanka is gorgeous.
IS there a specific part of Sri Lanka which is better?"
Kandy and Haputale, but make sure you take a trip round Tambapanni, Vijithapura and Anuradhapura, and if you're feeling fit go up Sigirya. |
