No...not the state of my mind....but the bendy yellow fruit.

.
.
Apparently the price of these little yellow devils is set to soar through the £1 per kilo barrier......shocking isn't it?
.
.
It seems that rising oil prices and the weakened pound is gonna hit my favourite fruit very hard indeed....grrrrrrrrr |

Two years ago in the Times ..
From The Times June 17, 2008
Shoppers set to count rising cost of bananasSuzy Jagger in New York Recommend? Bananas have joined the ranks of dairy, meat and wheat products among foodstuffs whose prices are set to surge because of the sharp rise in fuel costs. Chiquita, one of the world’s biggest banana groups, said yesterday that the price of Britain’s most popular fruit had risen 36 per cent last month against the same period a year ago.

THE price of bananas is set to soar as the impact of the weak pound hits home.
The cost of Britain's favourite fruit has increased by more than a third over the past year.
And further price rises look likely, according to trade magazine The Grocer.
Their report says bananas are particularly vulnerable to currency movements.
A kilo of bananas has rocketed from an average 70p a year ago to 94p this week.
Seems to be a cyclical thing happening once a year Stu ... bit like a fabswingers sex life really |

Why would I want a banana plantation when I don't like bananas?
