in the night garden

My friend Mark (who is a ninja) says they are great places to source meaningless sex by preying on emotionally vulnerable women. Apparently that human need to grasp life tightly while mourning gives people the real horn.

I think it would-be challenging but inbound focus on the fact that I would be helping them say goodbye to their lived one's and try to make that experience as easy as possible.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I think I would be good at the front of house stuff but I doubt I would be good at preparing bodies, embalming and display.

I'm a miserable git, so I'd prob be fine...seriously, I don't think I would enjoy only meeting people when they are at such a low point in their lives.

Titz Towers, North Notts

I'd be terrible. I can't keep a straight face for more than 2 seconds. I'd be busy pissing about, like unscrewing handles on coffins, or chucking some pork into the coffin before cremation. Even the hearse would end up with a bumper sticker saying 'available for dogging'

I think I would find it too emotionally and mentally draining. I also think it would bore me senseless. I currently work with kids and couldn't think of anything further away from what I do. So no. Not for me.

It's a grave business, there's no doubt about it. Having said that. There's never a shortage of storage boxes if you're moving house etc.

I wouldn't have a problem with it you are helping people achieve closure and i would find solace in that.

I've worked in a similar role, being surrounded by death gives a unique perspective to life. And being involved in anyones final chapter is a privelege. And it certainly isn't depressing.

My father began and ended his working life in one, ironically working for forty years in between for the NHS, and he loved it. I think it helps that he has remarkably dry sense of humour, bordering on gallows.

The stories he would regale us with at mealtimes.

Thanks for that dad!

Well dead people don't die 9-5....I would imagine it takes deadication to run a funeral parlour.
