A Secret Hideaway In the caravan of love |
Knitted mittens on a string which I wore threaded through my coats as a child.
Platform shoes and a bight yellow wrap-around top thing.
But it was the 70s and no one took any noticed. |

When I was about 15 I decided I was going to try and start a trend. I wore my knotted tie round my bare neck and over the outside of my jumpers and wore a daft hat that matched whatever tie I was wearing.
I cringe when I think about it. |

I can beat y'all hands down.
I once wore a bright applegreen bathing suit, made of towel cloth. With kind of colanders sewn into the cups. And a big white zip.
All was well until I dived into the sea.
When I waded back to the shore, I didn't understand why people were laughing.
I looked down and saw that the whole thing had sagged to my knees, the shoulder straps stretched to their maximum because of the weight of all the water the cloth had absorbed.
I dived straight back in and rearranged things. |
