Hi folks
We have a facebook page we use for when swinger sites are inappropriate. However, it seems no matter what, people can't seem to find it. This is despite privacy settings being adjusted accordingly.
EXMPLE:
Who can see my stuff?
Friends
Who can contact me?
Everyone
Who can send you friend requests?
Everyone
Who can look me up?
Everyone
Who can look you up using the email
address you provided?
Everyone
Do you want other search engines to
link to your timeline?
Off
Anyone got any ideas why this is ?

Most people won't give out their facebook page. They don't comprehend the idea of creating a secondary page for more incognito activities such as swinging. A lot of people are afraid their granny will find out. |

maybe im daft.. if they are trying to find you then surely they want to be 'friends'
so whats the difference if you try to add them.. surely the same outcome that you end up friends? |

I dont use facebook anymore was sick of folk putting shite like am having jam and bread for tea etc.
Started off as goid concept but now it rules peoples lives. |

Maybe in the UK you have a better range. Over here, it is certainly around that mark.
Maybe it is just that the stereotypical Irishperson looks to be about that age ! |

We find it easier to manage. Plus, as we said, opening facebook is less suspicious than opening a swinger site. |

Glad its not just me. Sometime with some of the topics and drivel on here forums get like facebook. |

We have that too. Some of our friends are very open and accepting of our lifestyle. It's nice for it to be part of your wider life.  |

We have that too. Some of our friends are very open and accepting of our lifestyle. It's nice for it to be part of your wider life. "
the people ive chosen to add to facebook are in the same boat as me,, im not quite sure why so many people have to have this as some secret naughty past time..
nothing sexual is spoke about on that site, but they are friends. its a mutual respect and understanding that some folk dont want graphic pics and details thrust in other peoples faces. |

Facebook I here more family split ups over what others read can be so nasty. There for others to read . I wish to have no part of it all . Here I pick who I wish to chat too .. there I would have to add all family and there friends to keep them happy so no. I Will chat to them when I feel like it out of the public eye , |

Is it a secret group?
I am a member of a secret facebook swinging group, and even if i gave you the group name you still would be able to find it, you have to be invited into the group by a friend or a group member ha to invite you by email address.
Check whether it is a secret, closed or public group. |

It's not a secret group. It's a facebook page, just like any other. We just don't add friends or family to it. They wouldn't even know it is us ! |

Maybe they are using the excuse of not being able to find it because they just don't want the link to their facebook account? I wouldn't want any links to my account. There's no privacy on facebook, everyone can see everything. It never ceases to amaze me the personal stuff that people post on there and think it's 'safe'. |
