I'm currently watching Boardwalk Empire on box set and enjoying it immenseley. Recently finished watching the Sopranos which i loved.

What do you guys reckon? Or is there something else i should watch?

Boardwalk Sopranos. By some distance in my opinion.

As someone above said, the Wire is a great shout, the best thing I've watched bar none, more similar to Boardwalk in that near enough every scene matters towards the overall story.

That should have read Boardwalk is better than the Sopranos, wasn't suggesting some weird hybrid spin off show.

They're both really good. Although Boardwalk Empire have just killed off the best character.

Coincidentally we watched the last episode of The Sopranos again last night after watching all 6 seasons over the Christmas period.

I love Boardwalk Empire and it's cinematography is beautiful but story wise, it's not a patch on The Sopranos or The Wire (my favourite TV show ever)

I have a friend who's in Boardwalk Empire and I frequently tell him how much I enjoy it. Truth is I've never watched an episode!...lol
