I can't quite believe it but I have a giant, hot, angry, red, throbbing spot on my chin. I am nearly 49! What's this about?
Anyhoo, I tried dabbing it with Witch Hazel last night but it is bigger and redder today. What should it do to get rid of Zitzilla? |

I haven't had one since I finished the menopause - it is a shock. I suppose the cream tea in Devon might have something to do with it. |

Apparently urine is the natural healer for spots ! Put a post up for someone to come round and help you out ... I'm sure you will get many eager volunteers |

Tea tree oil can help dry it up.
And a friend of mine swears by getting a mug of boiling water, dipping a cotton bud in and holding it against the zit. She says it brings it to a head so you can squeeze it. I've never tried it though. |

I imagine it would be tricky to blow your nose if you chopped it off so it would just run. |

I also have a topper on my chin. Popped it during the week and the release of pressure and the popping noise felt amazing.
It's still there so I might give it another squeeze. |

Use a ice cube in wrapped in kitchen roll, leave on for 15mins, it takes the swelling out of it. Re apply later on

The toothpaste seems to be working. Unfortunately, it's blue and the dog thinks my chin is very tasty.

Dogs - they will lick absolutely anything off your face!
Tea also works, but the best cure for spots I've found is a holiday in a hot country! |

Spots anywhere on the face is bad,but the worst is when you get one brewing up inside your nostril.
Had a belter just before Christmas and spent a fair amount of time in front of the mirror squeezing like crazy and hacking at it with tweezers.
Made my eyes water that one so it did!but the relief when I eventually got the fucker was great!
As soon as I see/feel one coming up anywhere on my person I declare war on them lol. |

Fuller's Earth. Either use the cream (Boots should have it) or get the powder, make a thick clay and put it on the affected area. It'll draw out the stuff.
Great for your skin, too. |

Reminds me of a joke...
This guy is invited to a fancy dress party but can't find a costume that fits him. After a few days of total frustration he has an idea.
He paints himself allover in red and eats a spoon full of mayonnaise.
He arrives at the party and of course everyone wonders and asks...'What have you come as?'
So he faces his friends, presses his 'face' cheeks with both hands and says triumphally....
A zit!!
I apologise profusely in advance for this horrible joke hahaha! It used to make me laugh when I was a teenager |

Which reminds me of the visual joke where a man stands in the Donations queue at the sperm bank. He suddenly realises that he stands right behind a woman, so he taps on her shoulder and whispers, "Ma'am, I think you're standing in the wrong queue". She turns around, shows her inflated cheeks, and shakes her head. |

I leave my zits alone and I get them a lot still, they just have to go through the cycle - that's what works for me, although it does mean wearing my helmet whilst shopping!
Ingrowing hair. Do not pluck or break the skin. Massage it gently with your finger till you feel the hair come out, then pluck it. Promise the massaging part works! |

Today has been toothpaste day. If it still needs attention tomorrow it will be salt and hot water.

This is going to sound very strange, get a cow to lick you their tongue is supposed to have a natural anaesthetic to help heal.
Not having done this myself even though i am a farmers daughter and having been told this i am still not sure if it is an old wives tale
I would use toothpaste as someone else has said. |

You could always just carry a few strips of bark with you!
The other good advice earlier in the thread was to use pee (you own). Part of our jungle warfare training advised using pee opposed your drinking water should you have a wound. |

Actually, dogs also have an antisceptic in their saliva, so you could still be onto a winner with the dog licking your face.
Teas in general contain astringents, so will help draw out the spot, and I was going to suggest willow tea, but someone got there first. Cider vinegar too apparently, but the stuff stinks.
Hope it clears soon lickety... |
