little house on the praire

My son got the part time job he went for. Ok its 16 hrs cleaning a week but its early morning he will be home by 8am. He can have a snooze then still look for full time. 16 hrs a week and hes going to be on alot more than dole money. Plus hes now decided he wants driving lessons. I put the money aside for his 18th to pay for driving lessons and a car and he had no enthusiasim so lets hope this is a nice turn round

Well done to him

Its nice to see that he sound as though he does'nt mind doing a bit of hard work with shitty hrs, many would'nt be bothered to drag themselves out of bed for that so good on him

Lovely news, regardless of whether there are others who are workshy your son rightly did this for himself....hope this is a springboard for him to later achieve a full time job, sounds like he deserves all the success he will enjoy in life.

Back of Beyond

Good for him darling. We have a son at home who left school at 16 and went to college for two years, never did a stroke of work in that time. Then he had what is euphemistcally called a 'gap' time out.

College finished last May and University didn't start until February this year, again never did a stroke of work. Good job he has understanding parents

Yes, good news indeed. It doesn't matter what he does, just important he has a work ethic and not willing to sit at home doing nothing. x
