In a nutshell we beat the aussies in the summer for a little urn thing and in all honesty i wouldn't say it was a convincing win.

We jumped on a plane 4 months later thinking we were the dogs bollocks and got handed our arses!! So will be coming back with heads bowed and tails between our legs.

Or in scottish terms heeheeheeheehee

You're funny! Love to be watching having a pint with ya mate! Someone did just post on the bbc website that the previous worst British sporting performance in their lifetime was Scotland's 1978 World Cup campaign, I disagree we have been far more humiliated than then!

Yeah but you got to love the scots for trying really hard and not getting too big headed after winning a game

Unless the game was against england of course

the song that was sung when the 78 scots team stepped off the plane on their return ( to the tune of god rest ye merry gentlemen)

God help ye tartan gentlemen,

for such a poor display,

When you set out to rule the world

your feet were made of clay,

And what with drugs and swollen heads you threw the cup away,

Oh mouthings of Ali McCloud, Ali McCloud

Oh mouthings of Ali McCloud

My dad loved it, my husband too. He used to take his holiday to work as a steward at the Oval and get my dad in. Any game that goes on for days is bound to be mind numbingly dull!
