See Jim Davidson is causing uproar with some strong views against him. Ive only been made aware of all of this negative stuff since reading it on here. From what ive seen my first impressions are he is alright and quite warming.. time will tell

So people, can a person change?

Like everything you read in the press is true! I think there are a lot of journalists who relish making up stories and embellishing others to assume someone can change his spots is to assume they have spots in the first place and says more about the speculators than the individual who is at the receiving end of speculation. I think its all rather sad how things like this titivate people you only have to look at Michael Le Vell pre trial to see how twisted things get.

i thought it was nice to see him be relieved that he wasnt instantly boo'd.. he was so grateful for that.

regardless who you are i think acceptance is quite important, dont think anyone wants to be disliked by strangers.

Completely agree, wise words.

I hope a leopard can't change his spots. I've invested rather heavily in leopard print tops.

Regarding Davidson, I've not heard much good about him, but would be willing to take him as I find him.

Well, there's going to be genetic variation between generations of leopards so I can see the spot pattern changing between parents and children. But a single leopard cannot change it's spots, no. Not unless you shave it or dye them, anyway.

I think Jim Davidson is a bit of a nob though, never liked him. His standup is poor too. Dick jokes get boring after around about the first couple of jokes.

I mean Jimmy Carr can be rude and borderline insensitive but he's really funny with it.

I don't think it's the nob jokes that were a problem, more likely the casual racist/sexist/homophobic nature of his entire act in the 70s and 80s.

But his act was no different to a lot of other comedians from that era!

Can a leopard change its spots? Not something I'd wager on.

When I think of Jim Davidson I automatically smile and think of my dad: he LOVED Jim Davidson and would double over laughing like a drain at his Chalkie White jokes. Once thoughts of my dad have passed I think: what an odious knob!

Yeah, but we're talking about him specifically.

some people change, i knew a man who used to keep hitting his dog from when it was a puppy, then he got two more dogs and he doesnt hit them, like he has learnt by his mistakes.

my hubbys daughter said her dad used to be much stricter with her than he was with our son, its because when he married me he became a different person.

some people do change.
