You were offered advice by others (including myself) in a polite way though.

No one wants to stop anyone having fun but my view is I don't want to have to wade through a thread and read ping pong messages between two people whilst trying to read the rest of the thread, it'd have been better suited in PM.

It's not jealously on anyone's part, we are all here for the same thing - to have fun. The best thing to do would have been to have taken it on the chin and moved forward and left it all on the thread in question.

Thing is I see thread have personal convo's all the time, with in jokes with people who know each other outside of fab etc, the most random chat and ive never seen anyone but in and say take it to pm etc, not even asking politely, you didnt even ask politely though you quite rude about it and that got her back up because she felt she was being singled out when no ones else does, even at the start of the thread there was random chat but no one said get back to the point of the thread. And then started going on about using text speak etc, just came across as really catty to me.

Also non of the men seemed to be annoyed by what the op wrote in the other thread. Looked to me like a group of women ganging up and trying to intimidate someone. Really was not a nice thing to witness .

Fair enough I was abrupt and came across wrong but I hold my hands up to that and doubt there are many who haven't while in the forums.

I suggested politely why others would be annoyed and that when others mentioned writing in English, they were referring to her text speak which again I was polite about.

I'm not part of a clique and certainly wasn't involved in a gang mentality.

There was a disagreement, don't take things so personally, people will always disagree on the forums. If something pisses you off and you feel you have to say something, say your piece and leave it. Arguing about it in several threads is gonna get you nothing but a ban, and makes you look like you're attention seeking (even if you're not).

If you take everything said in disagreement with you to heart, you won't get much out of it. Why care what others think? Let them have their opinion, don't allow it to carry on, you're only making yourself look silly I'm afraid.

Just my advice, not saying you were wrong to get offended (although I'm sure it wasn't meant to offend), just saying there's better ways of handling it.
