...Up on the Downs

Here's a wierd one...was out at a social meet today and a text came in. It addressed me by my first name, correctly spelled (there are 2 or 3 alternatives) thanked me for coming to dinner on Tuesday and the reassuring chat about teenagers - neither of which I did!!!

I asked who it was an they said Judy - I know no Judy. So they said sorry wrong number, they'll delete it.

But what are the chances of that - someone sending a random text to the wrong number with a correct name??

Any other theories??

Titz Towers, North Notts

There are lots of girls called Rosamund, I shouldn't worry. Unless it is aliens.

Not Rosamund, but a popular sort of name...but I wonder what the chances are, must be huge odds!

Could it be the girlfriend/ wife of one of your meets, trying to suss out who he met? If you said yes it's (your name) then she would have known you exist...?

That's certainly odd, FM. But as it doesn't concern you or anything you did, try to forget about it. xx

Not saying you meet attached people... was just a thought. Didn't mean to offend.

I would suspect it might be that, I did meet someone Tues who could have a gf for all I know........but she didn't get any more information out of me if she knew my name and number already, didn't ask any questions?

I'd still check for a serial killer under the bed, though. You can never be too careful.

I once went to see my GP who had the wrong notes. Two people with the same name. Good job I was not seriously ill.
