I don't give cash to any charity, that usually just helps pay wages, provide cars and expenses for the charity staff.
I give time, one day a week, and then I know my aid is being directly used to benefit the recipients of my chosen charity.
It is so easy to give money each month, giving time is a lot more valuble. |

or freeing up those staff to take extra holidays and do less work
If you want to support charities with low overheads support small ones with no paid staff.
I agree with your sentiment though - contributing time is often more valuable than money, albeit both are necessary.
I don't support WaterAid. I prefer to support education projects. |
