Ok, here goes. Because i studied literature i had to learn to look at the tragedy side in things. Therefore i find the full monty quite a sad film. A guy is out of work in an industrial town with no prospects of work but he loves his son and will do anything so he can get the money to see him. As with the other guys being out of work as well. All they where facing was long term unemployment and came up with the brainwave to do the stripping.

we suspended a bloke at work a couple of weeks ago and he rang up to say not to contat his house only his mobiles - we all reckon he is doing the same thing cos he hasnt told his wife lol

Now if my memory serves me right Gaz (Carlyle) had a job offered a couple of times by his ex so it was a situation not wanting to work rather than being unable find a job.
