Should hair dressing be made illegal?

Hair dressers have to stand for long hours. They have to work with chemicals which can give them skin problems. Should it be made illegal to protect them?
Why is prostitution illegal? To protect who? By being illegal it doesn't stop people being forced into it. Should people be allowed to do the job they want to do?
Surely by making something illegal it makes it more dangerous to do that job as people will take advantage of the fact they have no legal backup.

There used to be gents hairdressers in South Shield where the customer sat astride a rather large motorcycle while a busty young hairdresser rested her ample proportions on the pillion seat as she gave him a cut and blow.....
