You can but soooooo much better with fresh ground coffee.
Just make it as you would but replace milk with lashings of thick double cream and your choice of tipple. Or make a latte and add Baileys heaven mmmmmmmm |

"If you pour the cream over the back of a spoon, the cream will float on the top.if you have put sugar in the coffee. "
yep... your right, we got it the wrong way round lol ... the sugar does help the cream to float |

I only have Alta Rica in the house so yes to using instant coffee.
Need plenty of sugar to make the coffee sweet, and double cream works well without needing to be whipped first.
I put two teaspoonsful of coffee and 4 of sugar in a cup, add hot water to about 2/3 full, stir in some liqueur, I prefer Kalua or Grand Marnier, then top with double cream by pouring it slowly onto the back of a spoon placed at the top of the coffee by the rim of the cup.

The key is to pour cream over the back of a spoon slowly. Shake the cream to make it a little thicker. When I used to work in a pub, they used 5 brown sugars, great if you like sweet coffee. I've mastered the art of pouring a liquer coffee using no sugar, although it is easier if you use atleast 1. |
