I don't mean to start a fight but why do people think it's ok to call a slim woman skinny and not ok to call a curvy woman fat. It is just as offence to a slim woman as fat is to a curvy woman? This relly pisses me off! R x  |

It is perfectly acceptable to consider a BBW as fat check out the definition of BBW either on wiki or the urban dictionary. We agree a slim or slender woman need not be skinny either! |

Completely agree, a recent girlfriend was quite slender and the way people used the word "skinny" often came across as quite derogatory. There was no need for it. Usually accompanied with comments about eating more. WTF?!
These days though, what with the fight against fashion magazines shaping the perception of women, we now have the cause of the "real" women (Coleen Rooney etc)... because anything different to the average is not real?!!
Just leave people be, let them enjoy their own bodies, leave them to change them if they want to and stop telling people what they should look like, whether that's size 6, 14 or 22!
Interestingly, Dove did a "real beauty" campaign a few years back. If you look at the images in google, not one slender person or BBW. |
