I have no family left.. Except for my gorgeous children.. I do however have 2 stepsisters and a step brother... We parted ways... When I was a teen. No ones fault. Bar my mothers..I Think about them often. Do I try and make contact? |

However in America I have my half brothers and sisters. After my dad passed away last year we made contact a bit
I think you should - life is too short to let the past get in the way of what could be

I went to see my nanna today, her last living brother recently died..she barely knew hime was basically what she said.She went to the funeral and nobody knew her or those that did didnt talk to her... sad days...but it is part of big families and modern life, but it is a shame.
I have a sister I rarely see much(my fault and hers)and halfbrothers and a halfsister, we dont have much contact other than facebook.. I just find the time too short to meet up, but equally understand life is too short to not be in 'proper' contact with them.

I have no siblings but have kids and a loving mother. I have biological parents who I've never met nor will I through choice. Extended family with my best friend who is like my sister. Anyway life is too short, so do it and good luck

Went 20 yrs without contact from my family. Finally took the step and contacted them. Went great for about a yr, moved closer to them. Now they want nothing to do with me or my family. Only problem they have is they are judgmental, ( I don't go to church 3 times a week etc,,,,,,,) wish I would've just stayed away. But only u can know, and no way of knowing if u don't try. |

I do have a real brother I don't see him and would never choose to hes an ass saw him last at my mothers funeral... But my step lot... Where a nice bunch from what I remember ... Lost my step father to leukaemia ... And then lost touch |
