Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

This is the Christmas special to which I have been looking forward.

I haven't read the PD James book as I was worried that I wouldn't like the writing but as television interpretations are just that I thought I would risk this.

What books have you avoided but then watched the dramatisations?

In the middle

Personally I don't like the way people keep adding onto the classics, just leave them alone please

Matthew Rhys as Darcy tipped the scales for me. Tom Ward as Col. Fitzwilliam is being less warm than I think of with his character.

I could never read an erotic version of P&P - that is just wrong.

I'm sure his interest was piqued watching Lizzie take a walk around the room but burgeoning would explain why he didn't want to take a walk too.

Haha deifinitely. Caroline and Lizzy were distracting his unusually fast writing!

I am inclined to agree at this juncture, however I am ever hopeful that I will be pleasantly surprised by the series overall! I think rather than decorating tomorrow, I should probably spend some quality time with my sofa and the bbc box set of P&P

Have thoroughly enjoyed the Danish/Swedish trilogy of films in the series of "The Girl with the dragon tattoo". Far superior to the Daniel Craig version ( sorry Daniel! X) well worth a look at all three. Excellent story that convulutes and intrigues right to the last.

I enjoyed those too but I hated the first book so didn't read the subsequent two.

I enjoyed it well enough but I think I would have preferred it as a two hour film on one night. I guessed who the killer was at the beginning and the why was obvious once the baby was on the scene.
