Something to think Of ......

A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management

She was holding up a glass of water and everyone was expecting the old "glass half full - half empty" question

But no , with a smile on her face she holds the glass higher and says

"How heavy do you think this glass is"?

A range of answers is shouted varying from 8 oz to 20 oz

She replied "the absolute weight does not matter, it's how long I hold it that matters"

"if I hold it for 1 minute, it's not a problem"

"If I hold it for an hour,my arm will be aching"

"If I hold it for a whole day my arm will become numb and feel paralysed "

"In each case the weight of the glass doesn't change , but the longer I hold it the heavier it becomes"

Moral of the story ....

The stresses and worries in life are like that of the glass of water . Think about them for a while and nothing happens.

Think about them a bit longer and they can start to hurt

Think about them all day long and you will feel paralysed and incapable of doing anything

Just put the glass down !

Merry Xmas to each and everyone of you

X

Havant

What if the glass is filled with wine, you drink it, refill it and drink it again.. and keep doing it?

But I do like the moral

Another good quote I saw recently was:

"Holding a grudge is allowing someone to live in your head rent free"

Spot on I think
