Not played it, but know of it and games similar. (Don't think that one is particularly violent HPC).

There's a classic episode of South Park that rips the piss out of it and people who spend their lives playing it

My son got into this a few years ago - when he was about 10 - he didn't play on his pc though - him and some of his friends bought the models and painted them and used to go into town on a Sunday morning to play - it's like playing with toy soldiers in a way - there are sets with landscaping etc and can get quite complex - it only lasted a couple of years with him though!

Back of Beyond

I have a 20yr old who has been hooked on it since he was 16, the online version of course!

He comes in from uni in the afternoon and logs on, then its nothing else until about 11.30pm. Weekends he pulls all nighters.

Its more than a game, its a community of like minded people all over the world. His persona (avatar) is a girl, apparently they get more breaks etc when it does come to the fighting sequences

WoW is to online multi player games, what training wheals are to a push bike..

It's a great game for showing people the basics, but they realy should move on to far better versions.

WoW in truths only redeming feature is that unlike most games, it will play on even a crapy laptop you get free with your mobile contract phone.

My daughter loves WoW, but litraly drools when she sees me play far better games :P

The version with the models is the game Warhammer, far different and far better in some ways, all WoW is realy is a game based on the world, those figgres would war in.
