The land of grey peas and bacon

Do you prefer the old version or the one with Johnny Depp??

old all day every day.

new ones a little........strange.

if i had never seen the other i would probably like it, but it makes Willy Wonka the focus, rather than Charlie, which is how the book reads.

that said, Roal Dahl is never supposed to have liked the original

Titz Towers, North Notts

The old one. Mind you, I still reckon Roald Dahl's best books are Boy and Going Solo, which when typed in the same sentence look a bit more suggestive than I'd like

Old one without a shadow of a doubt, even though the new one is actually closer to the book. My all time fave book is The BFG and I love the film too and the moral that dreams are so powerful has always stayed with me.

This and wizard of oz seriousky freak ne out to point of not being able to watch them.

I have a thing about the munchkins and the the little things in and chocolate factor something about them creeps me out.

Whats odd is i have no problems with midgets or dwarfs not sure if politically correct to call them that nowadays so if anyone offended accept my apologies.

Charlie Bucket, cabbage soup, cool grandad, and the luck of the Irish, made a great story and he got to meet some spoilt twats. Boom

London

Old 100%

Anything iffy about Wonka is really down to interpretation.

Really liked the Family Guy episode where they spoofed it.

"The first one had better umpalumpas"

Think the second is a better film although darker than the original. But the umpalumpas in the second one are very disappointing.
