I know 2 things about Billingates fish market. It featured in an episode of Blackadder and it was dispersed at the start of the War in case it was bombed and so various areas of the South had an influx of swearing, before it returned.
Also Mickey Flanagan had a start there, so that is 3 things. I'm not sure this has been helpful, but I've tried  |

You have to get there early and if you don't know what you want then take a chance and try what is available.
Take a cool bag and then go and have breakfast or pop to the Canary Wharf Waitrose.

I've been once when I was 17 or so. All sorts of weird and wonderful things there. Great stuff. I went on an artic from the north of Scotland and the idea was just to see the place. |

I've heard smoked salmon smells, so i'm not buying that lol. Although i do love salmon and king prawns mmmm chuck in a bit of mussels in there and maybe even a shark. God yeah!
...can i borrow your friend's bag? I don't want fish in my rucksack lol |

Shark is very meaty - I haven't had it for years. Go for something you have never tried before.

Shark is very meaty - I haven't had it for years. Go for something you have never tried before.

A tip for the Future, Try the Fish shop in the old Romford Market Arcade late on a Saturday, you can get some weird Bargains as they like to get the Freezers empty for fresh Delivery

It's a third off at Waitrose. Get a mild one to start with, just a squeeze of lemon and a dash of black pepper and you will wonder why you have been bothering with chicken for so long. |

Don't buy a whole salmon just for you. Smoked salmon, in a small packet of four slices is enough for getting the taste. Use your discount. |

We should just go Waitrose, me and you. You can find me the right salmon and i'd try and find those biscuits for you.

I am a BIG sea food and fish lover don't eat a lot of meat so I love all fish and make currys and things from monkfish its a weird looking fish but eats very well xx |
