No, but she has destroyed her reputation for the time being. Cue hiring a PR chap, a period of charity work and being seen doing good deeds and then a resurrected career. Unless they find a body in their swimming pool next, as that seems insurmountable.  |

A liar who occasionally uses drugs ? Thought that was just the norm for many celebrities so definitely not.
David Cameron has made a complete arse of himself again for publicly showing his support for her,in a recent magazine interview. |

I haven't followed the whole saga. But if she lost her reputation due to a few sniffs, then I'd call that rather narrow minded. Who hasn't enjoyed a joint every now and then (AND inhaled!)?

Why are folk making out nigella is a saint and victim she by default lied in court about those on trial.
End of day she is just a cook with well known dad she aint had to work hard to get to position she got to.

I like her but she has been on that years and lying to save face in court and making out them two was to blame for the money going missing it was a cover up as she was spending it on lovely things and drugs and off her head so the sisters had to take over running her home and family and she was sweeten them up giving them treats , Now her ex is to blame for a lot of this he is hurting after their bust up and wishing to get to her ....... its a no win for all as them girl felt they was family and close now lost that too . |

Funny thing is, i took a fair bit of abuse from one or two members on here when the pic and story first broke, all i said was something like, MAYBE theres more to the pic of him with his hands on her throat than people think,
my my, how different things look now hey??  |

Just a thought now the case is over and the women confirmed inmocent why do not cps charge nigella and ex hubby with perjury.
At very least the women should take them to court for damages to reputation etc. |

I am glad the two girls was not escape goats for them , I have been reading every day about this and from day one I new its was not right . Why just not stop the cards if spending too much a normal person would .. if overspending . She lied in court to save face to the public as never wished to be seen like this . |

Nigella herself hovers on that dangerously thin line between being a delightful, at times eccentric national treasure and unnervingly odd.
How else do you explain the tube of mustard she apparently keeps in her handbag at all times?.
Higella is the name her Ex call her . No ones perfect and she is not and others don't have to suffer for it. I hope she get help and sorts herself out and be my national treasure again as I love her books and make her food and love her shows on the tv ...

As to the OP, I doubt her career is over. The two in the actual dock have been found not guilty. Nigella has maintained her line. IF there is now a case brought against her for perjury then maybe there will be some lasting damage. Until then she was not on trial except by the media.

If the allegations that she supplied her children with drugs are true then I feel very sorry for them indeed. It will be interesting to see if a perjury charge is brought against her. |

I have never bought into Saint Nigella concept. A very privelaged background, with multimillionaire status. Remarried about two minutes after first hubby dies of cancer.
New hubby another megarich toff and then all this recent stuff.
Good to see money did not buy her the result she wanted..... |

i was one those who took exception to some people pronouncing nigella's guilt on another thread when, if fact she wasn't even on trial.
in relation to all the parties concerned in this case there seems to be more to it than meets the eye and it will no doubt be revealed in the fullness of time.
i must admit i am a little taken aback by some the comments made on this thread that seem be gloating at the misfortune of another, i think it's a sad reflection on society today. |

She made a statement after the case expressing disappointment but not suprise at result as she felt she was maliciously made out to be s druggie.
Selfish self centred cow fact is she lied in court and the women are innocent makes me sick she was prepared to see innocent folk sent to jail to protect her own image. |
