No. I never say I could kill in any circumstances. Even defending the people I love I don't believe I could kill another person.

I don't see that as killing. I see that as letting their bodies go. Living artificially is not living as far as I am concerned.

Depends on the circumstances really. Self defence ..then yes but again depends on the situation. Don't think anyone's going to say 'yes' just for the sake of it. Especially not on here.

After the First World War all army training changed as it was found that conscripted men in the thick of battle some almost 50% could not bring themselves to kill which prolonged and even led to battles lost due to the men being killed rather than killing this happened on both sides now all soldiers are trained to kill almost automatically through rigourless mental training but it still happens.

If in a situation where myself or my family was threatened I would do anything to defend us, but more likely trying to disarm or disable the other person rather than kill. However if I had a gun (highly unlikely! ) and someone was coming at me with a knife I would probably aim for the chest as if they got to me with the knife it'd be game over. And having no shooting experience I'd not try and aim for hands!

No in reality I don't think I could. Ok I would fight to defend family and would say I would but in cold blood take someone's life well the OH says you really don't know if you could or not until you are in that situation and I hope it never comes to the point of me finding out.

During the world wars soldiers were said to have deliberately fired above their targets to avoid killing. This is why we teach soldiers to not think for themselves and obey authority.. You can't indoctrinate a religion that says turn the other cheek and then ask them to be effective killing machines.
